With a flower in her hand ๐ŸŒป

“Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you planned:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.”
– Christina Rossetti

You know when the season changes and it feels like summer? Haven’t summer just bragged in? I mean, just last week I was still carrying a jacket with me and now out of nowhere I feel the need of all things cold. Although, I do prefer summer over winters because of the kind of clothes we can wear in this season.

Coming back to the outfit for today, it is one dress and two looks scene.
Pants have always appealed to me more than skirts (Like, Yes! I love to dress up but you know pants are always more comfortable. Don’t you agree?) Though I have never been a very feminine girl BUT I have my moments. Moments where I want to feel like a young, blossoming lady, with table manners. And floral wrap dress has been one of my favourite trends this spring. Florals are all about having fun with fashion and embracing the joy and romance of spring. I love how they’re super flowy and feminine but also quite comfortable. Flowers will forever be considered as the incarnation of spring, it seems to be a bit familiar but never falling far from extraordinary.

I picked up this floral print wrap dress from Myntra, Miss Chase (you can find the dress here) and I’m super excited to continue wearing it into summer!

Carrying the first look I feel fearless, happy and all other good things but how can I forget my pants. Yes! For the second look I chose to wear the dress as a top.

So here’s my photo story on how I feel when I wear this dress, Beautiful!

Florals not only make me feel pretty, summery, feminine but also ladylike, (with table manners!) as I have already mentioned. A simple floral wrap dress, like I’m wearing here, is enough to take you to a field full of flowers, bathing in the sun, fighting bees and praying that a butterfly sits on you.

And here we come to an end. I hope you like the first transitional summer looks! Please do lemme know in the comments below.

Until the next one,

Much love! ๐Ÿ’‹

Holi, a spring festival celebrated in India. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive. Yes! The festival of colours is here. Don’t we all love this festival? Unlike other Indian festivals Holi fashion demands a twist. There is no way you are wearing things as you wear for other Indian festivals. Here, you need to go out and get all messy with colours and water and yet look your best! Sounds difficult? Not really!! I have got you some easy and comfortable styling tips. So make sure you look good and at the same time feel good this Holi!

Go ahead and have a look at the list that will not only keep you on a safe spot but help you look your best in the holi party.

Outfit Ideas –

1. A plain white anarkali suit with colourful dupatta! Team it up with kolhapuri sandal to complete the look. Simple, elegant and ready to go!

2. If you love experimenting, this one’s for you – pair a straight long kurta with denim shorts.

3. If you are not going the traditional way, denim shorts is the best thing to grab. Team them up with a white tee or t-shirt and for something different add a colourful cape!

4. For a more easy and carefree look, go for an oversized tee paired with jeans.

Hairstyle Ideas –

1. A side braided fish tail.

2. Half up bun. Oh! You can see them everywhere.

3. Again, if you love experimenting go for two french braids. The bohemian vibes this hairstyle gives. ๐Ÿ˜

4. Two buns up if you’re going for something modern and not traditional.

5. Messy bun, no doubt is a saviour for every occasion.

6. And if you want to leave your hairs open try experimenting with a stole or a bandana. You can also try a Rajasthani pagadi with a nose ring to slay the look.

Skincare

1. Put double layer of coconut oil all over your body and most importantly your hair. The oil acts as a protector and do not let the color stay nor lets it penetrate into the skin.

2. Use moisturiser which is highly hydrated and have spf because youโ€™re going to be out in sun all day. And the layer of moisturiser will protect you from chemicals that colours are made of.

3. Instead of lipstick try to go for lip balms. Apply a thick layer of balm on your lips and don’t forget to carry it with you.

4. How much we hate when the color refuses to go away from the nails and no amount of nail colour remover can remove it. So, take out the darkest nail colour that you have and apply them on your nails.

Pro-styling Tips –

1. Wear sunglasses – go for a classic aviators or the most awesome sunnies that you own. Also wearing sunglasses will not only make your outfit better but will protect your eyes from the harsh chemicals of the colors.

2. Holi is probably the only day you can show off your flip-flops (with a ‘good grip’ so that you don’t slip) in public. Avoid wearing heels if you love them a little too much to save them from getting coloured.

3. Donโ€™t wear any thin material clothes, because that can make you feel uncomfortable once you are all wet.

4. Make sure to cover your body as much as you can so that you will be less tinted.

5. Carry a small sling bag to keep your phones and other important things safe.

So that is all you can do to look your best and stay safe. Until then have fun and look your best. Happy Holi to all!

Valentine’s day outfit ideas!

Do you believe in love? Are you someone who believes in MODERN DAY ‘DATING’ or someone who believes in eternal love, ‘OLD FASHIONED’, as they say? Why I suddenly raised this question? Ah! Valentine’s day is just a few more days away. We all tend to relate February with love. Don’t we? Flowers, chocolates, red-hearts and romance. That’s what Valentine’s is all about, right? But, why only a day to celebrate love, why not celebrate it everyday, why not consider the whole year as love year? Different people have different perspective. So have you ever tried to find the story behind this day? Why this one day is celebrated as love day and not others.

Well! It all started in 269 A.D., Valentine a simple christian priest came forward and stood up for love, for those thousands of couples who saw their hopes of matrimony dashed by the single act of a tyrant by Emperor Claudius. The act that was started because Claudius believed that recruitment for the army was down because Roman men did not want to leave their lovers and families behind. Despite the emperor’s orders, Valentine began to secretly marry the soldiers before they went off to the war. And when Claudius came to know about the secret, he had Valentine thrown into prison and deemed that he would be put to death.
As Valentine was awaiting execution he fell in love with a blind girl who happened to be the jailer’s daughter. On the eve of his execution, Valentine is said to have written her a sonnet with the ink he squeezed from the violets. It is said that his words made the blind girl see again. It was a brief romance because the next day Valentine was clubbed to death. Saint Valentine gave his life so that young couples could bond together in holy matrimony. Eventually, the Catholic Church granted Valentine sainthood and decided to create a feast in his honor.

Also, talking about my post, I have curated some looks for you from SheIn_official giving you an idea what to wear this Valentine’s Day. I have assembled my wish list, and if you donโ€™t have time to order clothes now, you can surely mix and match from your wardrobe. (this is not a sponsored post)
