With summer seeking the end and autumn-winter knocking at the door, fashion trends are already looking forward towards the season of pumpkin spice, plaid skirts and cosy cashmere. Last year the autumn-winter fashion trends ended up with sweatpants and PJs at home. However, this year we are looking forward to adding more and more fashionable outfits to our everyday routine, be it office days, frequent restaurant visits, hangouts, etc. Here I have listed my top favourite 7 autumn-winter fashion trends of 2021:

Cut-Outs

Hardly any cut-out outfits were in sight during the presentation of Spring Summer ’21. But soon after, runways exploded with a change when designers debuted their Autumn Winter’ 21 collections. Cut-out took centre stage! From red carpets to social media, everyone embraced this body positivity piece of clothing and worked in their own way. Revealing a tad bit of skin is flirty, fresh, and fun, and it’s not something that is to be left behind in summers. The trend can be easily styled up with mini or midi dresses and coats, paired with knee boots and printed tights.

Sparkles and sequins for day

We have all been stuck inside our homes for over a year. This fall, shiny metallic and sequins are, therefore, reaching the spotlight for a day outing, including coffee dates, brunch, grocery shopping or quick jaunts. Sounds more like a ‘Revenge Dressing’, isn’t it?

The best way to use these statement materials for a day outing is by pairing them with extremely casual basics, including raw-hem denim, white button-down or a simple tee.

Loose-Fit Denims

Skinny jeans have remained a constant fashion since 2010. However, loose styles like flares, boyfriend jeans, Mom jeans, boot cuts and others have been in trend lately. But, now that we are talking about autumn-winter, loose straight leg cuts and Mom jeans remain significantly the most popular silhouettes. It can get tricky to style these silhouettes. So, to balance the loose fabric on the bottom, cropped sweaters, slim-fit tees, tailored blazers, or elegant blouses can be a perfect match when tucked elegantly.

Pop of Color

Autumn and winter have always been associated with moody hues like Khaki Green, Brown, Navy, and others, while we keep tropical brights and pretty pastels for summers. This year, however, vibrant Shades will rule the season! This season is aching for an instant mood buster because of the pandemic, and nothing fits the space perfectly other than a burst of colours. Mustard yellow, deep magenta and more rich shades will grab the spotlight. Want to know the best way to rock this trend? Try mixing and matching different unexpected combinations to form seasonally appropriate looks.

Handbags – Textured, Quilted and Puffy

Autumn-Winter ’21 has seen the pop of several bag trends all over the runways. From coin purse claps, mid-size crossbody to quilted textures, all these trends are here to stay! This fall, no matter, what your mood is, you’ll have an option for every fit. These bag trends will help you up to your style game.

Would love to know what do you think about these trends! 💁🏽‍♀️
